Managing timber and high-value shade trees across Central Bucks County demands more than a pickup truck and a chainsaw. From sprawling wooded acreage surrounding Buckingham Mountain to residential properties framing the Route 202 and Route 413 corridors, ATS TREE SERVICES LLC delivers the industrial equipment, technical expertise, and precision necessary for complex tree management. Whether you need selective land clearing, deep-subsurface stump grinding, or technical health assessments for mature hardwoods, our crew ensures your property remains safe, clear, and structurally sound.
Buckingham Township is defined by a distinct mix of historic farmsteads, expansive residential subdivisions, and dense native hardwood forests. This environment presents unique tree management challenges that standard suburban land services simply cannot handle.
Navigating Buckingham’s Topography & Soil Conditions
Properties near the base of Buckingham Mountain often experience heavy runoff, rocky soil layers, and shallow root systems. During heavy storms, mature Oaks, Maples, and Tulips in these areas are highly susceptible to root-plate failure and sudden blowdowns. Our crew utilizes specialized ground-protection mats and heavy equipment rigged for low-impact entry to execute high-risk removals without rutting up delicate lawns or damaging existing drainage fields.
Protecting Timber Against Central Bucks Pest Pressures
Buckingham’s canopy faces mounting pressure from invasive species and fungal threats, most notably the Spotted Lanternfly and Beech Leaf Disease. Mature American Beeches and native hardwoods along rural corridors like York Road (Rt 262) and Durham Road require early intervention. We perform technical health evaluations to spot structural defects, fungal decay, and canopy dieback before a compromised limb threatens your home, driveway, or utility lines.

I had a clump of large trees that outgrew the space and were near the house. I called ATS and explained to them what I needed. David came out and we spoke about different options and equipment that would be used. He then emailed me several estimates detailing those options and allowed me to chose. I thought the pricing was very fair and I was able to approve the job online. Alex and his crew came a few days later and took down all 12 trees over a 2 day period. The crew was very organized and professional. They took great care not to damage any surrounding obstacles. When they were finished they cleaned everything up including all the small debris that fell in the yard. You couldn't even tell they were there with all the trucks and equipment. The final price was exactly what I was quoted and I am very happy with the service and the overall experience. I would definitely recommend using ATS Tree Service.Posted on Google![]()

This was an A++ experience! I called Adam (owner) around 1 pm to see if he could swing by to look at a tree that split and was leaning toward the house. He was at our house within 15 minutes. He was very knowledgeable and answered every single question we had, and then some! Once he gave us an idea if the cost of the project, we talked timeline to get it done. He said he could probably be back in a bit to get started. I figured in an hour or two. He left around 1:30 pm, sent the quote, and was back out our house by 2 pm with his truck and gear. He was up in the boom and started cutting by 2:15 pm. He was very clearly skilled and worked quickly two drop two trees. He worked until he finished exactly what we asked him to do. This was such an awesome experience and it was much more economically priced than I expected. I 100% recommend ATS to anyone who is looking to have tree work done. They are a local business doing right by the community! A++!!!Posted on Google![]()

In Buckingham Township, routine tree removal on private residential property generally does not require a permit. However, if your property is situated within a designated environmental protection overlay, riparian buffer, or historic zone, or if you are undertaking large-scale land clearing, township zoning ordinances may apply. We assist property owners along major corridors like Route 202 and Durham Road in determining local compliance before work begins.
Buckingham properties often feature sprawling lawns, custom hardscapes, or delicate septic drain fields. We deploy commercial-grade ground protection mats to evenly distribute the weight of our heavy cranes, bucket trucks, and forestry mulchers. This prevents soil compaction, deep tire rutting, and damage to subterranean infrastructure.
Properties near Buckingham Mountain frequently contend with shallow, rocky soil layers and high water runoff. This combination limits root depth, making mature Oaks, Maples, and Tulips more prone to root-plate failure during severe thunderstorms or winter ice events. Our arborists perform structural cable bracing and canopy weight reduction to help these heritage trees withstand high winds.
The two biggest threats facing Buckingham’s canopy right now are Beech Leaf Disease (which causes dark, leathery banding between leaf veins and eventual dieback) and the Spotted Lanternfly. Additionally, Emerald Ash Borer damage remains high. We offer technical health assessments to catch early signs of infestation or fungal decay before a tree becomes an immediate structural hazard.
Our standard stump grinding service pulverizes the main stump 6 to 12 inches below ground level, eliminating the surface structure. Upon request, we can perform deep-trace root grinding, haul away the residual woodchips, backfill the cavity with fresh topsoil, and re-seed the area so your lawn restores seamlessly.
